Titan UV Sterilisers

Photocatalytic-enhanced UV sterilisation engineered for the demands of commercial aquatic operations. Not a bigger version of a consumer unit — a fundamentally different technology.

Pathogen control

Beyond UV. Photocatalytic Enhancement.

Standard UV sterilisers rely on direct photonic exposure. The Titan adds a photocatalytic reactor stage that generates hydroxyl radicals — one of the most powerful oxidising agents available in water treatment — extending the sterilisation effect.

Photocatalytic Reactor

UV light activates the catalyst coating, producing hydroxyl radicals that oxidise organic and inorganic compounds in the water stream. Net result: cleaner water chemistry, not just reduced pathogen count.

Individually Chambered Lamps

Each lamp occupies its own chamber, minimising UV penetration depth to the critical zone. Pathogens receive the full dose — not a diluted pass through a shared column.

Fused Quartz Glass Sleeves

Fused quartz transmits UVc more effectively and maintains optimal lamp temperature — ensuring maximum UVc output throughout the lamp's rated life.

Built for Commercial Environments

Every component choice on the Titan reflects a commercial operating context — high run-hours, pressurised systems, minimal downtime tolerance, and the need for rapid maintenance by non-specialist staff.

IP67 Control Gear Connectors

Tool-free maintenance

Rated to IP67 and designed for simple disconnect and reconnect without tools. Reduces service time and eliminates the risk of incorrect reassembly in wet commercial environments.

Translucent Lamp Caps

Visual status check

Lamp operational status is visible without disassembly. In a commercial system running multiple units, this is a significant time-saver during routine inspection rounds.

8,000hr Lamp Life

55W UV lamp

Rated at 8,000 hours — approximately 11 months of continuous operation* before replacement. Predictable, schedulable maintenance intervals rather than reactive failures.

(*TMC recommends lamp changes every 6 months in critical applications)

<2 psi Pressure Drop

Pressurised system compatible

Low hydraulic resistance means the Titan can be integrated inline into pressurised recirculation systems without requiring a dedicated low-head pump or bypass arrangement.

Available in both Floor standing and Wall mount versions.

Flexible installation

Mounting hardware supports both floor-standing and wall-mounted installations. Accommodates the constrained plant-room layouts typical in commercial aquaria and aquaculture facilities.

110–240V / 50–60Hz

International compatible

Wide input voltage range supports deployment across UK, EU, and international markets without voltage conversion. Relevant for export customers and multinational operations.

Engineered for These Environments

The Titan is not a consumer product scaled up. It is specified and sold to operations where UV sterilisation is a critical process control — not an optional extra.

01

Public Aquaria & Zoo Exhibits

High visitor footfall, diverse livestock, and zero tolerance for disease outbreaks. The Titan provides the sterilisation consistency required for mixed-species display systems running 365 days a year.

02

RAS Fish Farming

Recirculating aquaculture systems demand tightly controlled water quality at high flow rates. Photocatalytic enhancement reduces organic load and pathogen pressure across the recirculation loop.

03

Shellfish Depuration & Holding

Shellfish depuration requires treated, pathogen-reduced seawater held to food safety standards. The Titan's hydroxyl radical chemistry addresses both biological and chemical contamination simultaneously.

04

Commercial Ornamental Wholesalers

Ornamental importers and wholesalers move high densities of livestock through quarantine and holding systems. Reliable sterilisation at the holding stage protects the entire stock and reduces medication costs.

Not Sure What You Need? Start with the UV Calculator.

TMC's UV Calculator walks you through the key variables for UV steriliser sizing — tank volume, water type, stocking density, and target UV dose. It's the fastest way to establish a baseline specification before talking to our commercial team.

1

Enter your system parameters

Volume, water type, and stocking load. Commercial systems should factor total recirculating volume, not just display tank capacity.

2

Select your sterilisation target

Clarification, disease control, or full Level 3 sterilisation. Commercial and public aquaria operations typically require Level 3.

3

Review the recommendation

The calculator outputs a unit recommendation. If your system falls into commercial territory, that's where the Titan UV comes in — bring the output to our team for a full specification discussion.

Note for commercial specifiers: The TMC UV Calculator is primarily designed around the consumer Vecton range. For RAS systems, public aquaria, depuration tanks, or any high-load commercial environment, use the calculator output as a sizing reference point — then contact the Biosystems team to configure the correct number and arrangement of Titan UV units for your flow rate and pathogen load.
