Temperature Control
Keep your tank at the perfect temperature
Whether you're keeping tropical reef fish at 26°C or a species-only coldwater tank,
precise temperature management is the single most important factor in livestock health.
From entry-level heaters to multi-fan cooling systems, we have the full solution.
Too cold
Below 24°C triggers stress, immune suppression and metabolic slowdown in tropical marine fish. Heaters are essential year-round in the UK.
Ideal range
Most tropical marine and freshwater species thrive between 24–27°C. Stability matters as much as the number - swings of even 2°C cause stress.
Too warm
Above 28°C depletes dissolved oxygen and stresses corals. Summer room temperatures can push tanks over safe limits — fans and chillers prevent this.
Aquarium Cooling Fans
Evaporative cooling fans clip to the rim and reduce water temperature by 2–4°C through evaporation - the most cost-effective summer cooling solution.
Pair with the Thermostat Controller for fully automatic temperature management.

Tip: For open-top reef tanks, always pair your fan(s) with the Thermostat Controller for automatic on/off temperature management. Fans reduce water temperature by 2–4°C through evaporation.
