TMC Reef Efficiency

Energy Saving Campaign

We have implemented several initiatives across all TMC locations, products and activities to enhance energy efficiency and sustainability.

These initiatives ranged from transitioning to LED lighting, upgrading our pump technology by incorporating inverter technology, or even reviewing our UV models and upgrading to Titan technology. These have led to ensuring better performance and lower energy usage.

Other solutions have been adopted such as optimization of our lighting schedules and intensity, balancing customer presence, animal welfare, and staff needs.

Temperature and humidity control was also a main area of focus from new air handling units to simple lids above tanks during colder months.

Finally, we have now integrated solar panels on all buildings, significantly reducing our carbon footprint and providing long-term energy savings.

These internal initiatives reflect our commitment to sustainability and operational efficiency.

Other activities such as promoting DC technology in motors as well as displaying to customers real power consumptions and costs associated before buying any product has been key to showcasing the importance of a sustainable reef efficient hobby.
