AQUAH Hobbyist Exhibition

The AQUAH Hobbyist Exhibition held over the weekend of September 21-22, 2024 at the NAEC Stoneleigh, brought together enthusiasts of aquatics and reptiles for the UK's biggest / first event in the industry open to hobbyists of it’s kind. Attendees were able to explore a wide range of exhibits, featuring everything from marine and freshwater fish to exotic reptiles, amphibians, and invertebrates. The exhibition also showcased the latest equipment and products in the aquatics and reptile-keeping communities.

In addition to the expansive exhibition space, the event included educational opportunities, with long-time hobbyists and professionals sharing their knowledge. There were live product demonstrations, networking opportunities, and activities for children, such as face painting and balloon modelling. The event provided a family-friendly atmosphere, allowing both hobbyists and newcomers to immerse themselves in these specialized hobbies.

Tropical Marine Centre had a stand showcasing all of our products for the hobbyists to see in person and also put on a spin the wheel of fortune to give out a variety of goodies over the weekend along with Glitter festival art being enjoyed by both the children and adults. We also had Dr Marcus Wengel, the owner of Tropic Marin, on the stand to answer any questions about their range, as well as our own livestock and product development experts. Not only that but we also had some fun getting dressed up as sea creatures for photos throughout the two days.

There was a variety of influencers that attended over the two days producing creative content doing meet and greets and interviewing the vendors on sneak peeks of new products to come. We had the pleasure of getting to meet Amy & the wet pets from TikTok and she spent the two days on the stand enjoying the fun throughout as well as speaking to hobbyists about her journey with her Kreisel Jellyfish tank.

The show was inspired by similar events in Europe and the US, allowing UK hobbyists to connect with like-minded individuals and discover new innovations.

All in all the Exhibition was a great success for all vendors with thousands of people from the hobbyist community attending from all over and there has already been talk of continuing the show in 2025.
