

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT LEAD – LIVESTOCK & LIVEFOODS
Livefood Culture & Harvesting: Participate in the development and refinement of livefood production methods (e.g. artemia, copepods, bloodworm, daphnia, mysis, etc.) with a focus on quality, consistency, and welfare.
Protocol Development: Help design, test, and implement new culture methodologies, feeding strategies, and logistics processes for both freshwater and marine species.
Fish House Support: Collaborate closely with the livestock team to ensure livefoods are optimally integrated into feeding and care regimes.
Facility Maintenance: Monitor and maintain culture systems, ensuring water quality, cleanliness, and animal health.
Documentation & Traceability: Accurately record procedures, parameters, deliveries, and performance data to support quality control and future scaling.
Team Collaboration: Actively contribute to knowledge-sharing and process improvement within a supportive, hands-on environment

Key competencies:
Essential:
· Hands-on experience working with livefoods or aquatics in a production, lab, or aquaculture setting.
· Hands on approach and rolling up your sleeves, water handling, and live animal care.
· Strong sense of responsibility, attention to detail, and reliability.
· Ability to collaborate and work In the Fish House on shift work
· A team player with good communication skills and a proactive mindset.
Desirable:
· Familiarity with a range of livefoods for ornamental aquatics (copepods, tubifex, daphnia, bloodworm, etc.).
· Experience in protocol development, breeding, or system optimisation in a laboratory or commercial setting.
· Understanding of aquarium systems, marine aquatics including freshwater species and aquatic environmental controls.
