Responsible for evolving the business with existing and new customers, to deliver agreed objectives/targets. To work in a pro-active, customer focused approach and not be afraid to discuss sales, be able to structure their sales tasks, have a professional telephone manner and the ability to connect and build relationships with customers and deliver new business through livestock sales.
Work as a team to deliver livestock sales growth in the UK market. Look after all calling customers and ensure their experience at TMC is one they will want to repeat. Checking orders and implementing quality control standards. Liaise with customers on special orders /requests, follow-up by phone, handle customer complaints and claims. Assist calling customers with ordering and selection of livestock. Ensure all customers always receive the highest possible level of customer service. Check quality, maintain a high standard/quality of livestock always delivered to the customer.
Performance of the business
Work with the UK Head of Sales to meet financial targets set in terms of sales and profitability. We expect this role to play a full part in promoting sales, controlling costs, retaining, and attracting new customers, and developing business. Improved communication at all levels is the key to success. Liaise with Fish-House manager (FHM) prior to the next working day for getting orders together and discussing next day’s plans.
Facilities
Assist with ensuring life support systems and tanks and equipment are properly maintained and running correctly with no leaks, and at correct water levels/flows. Assist with monitoring all equipment to ensure timely replacement and servicing to avoid breakdowns. Manage cleanliness in all areas by following the implemented tank and facility cleaning regimes and ensuring good hygiene practices are always in place. Monitoring water quality parameters so they are kept within correct values and check that regular water testing is maintained on all systems.
Reporting lines will be to the Fish House manager. The position will involve supporting the fish house and daily operations as needed. It is critical that both you and FHM maintain strong communications with regards to the Sales targets and operational activity set for the Manchester Fish-house.
Arrivals/acclimation - preparing for shipments, monitoring shipment arrivals, monitoring DOA and DAA mortality and packing conditions, reporting back information to Fish House Manager.
This role also provides: FH cover over weekends and bank holidays on a rota basis.
